The recent BRICS Development Partnership Administrators' Meeting in this capital provided a place to exchange ideas and seek consensus on inclusive and collective solutions, reported the Indian Foreign Ministry.

A statement from the External Affairs Ministry states that the meeting held on August 6-7 provided an opportunity to Member States to address key issues of global, national and sectoral significance in the field of development cooperation.

They also shared knowledge on their best practices and the challenges to be approached and mitigated through policy actions in this field, the text added.

This meeting is part of the resolutions adopted by Brics under the Chairmanship of Russia last year, it stresses.

The participants also interacted with members of the Forum for Indian Development Cooperation, a tripartite initiative of the Development Partnership Administration of India's Ministry of External Affairs, academia and civil society.

The 8th Brics Summit will be held in the Indian city of Goa on October 15-16.

Founded in 2008, the BRICS bloc is composed of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

The Members States have 42 percent of the world population and 27 percent of global gross domestic product.
