Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel has confirmed that the explosions at the airport and at a railway station are terrorist attacks, a version corroborated by the Public Prosecutor's Office.

"In this black moment for our country, I want to ask for calm and solidarity. We face a difficult test, we must face it united," said Michel.

On March 18th, Belgian security forces confirmed the capture here of Salah Abdeslam, Europe's most wanted suspect, for his alleged involvement in the terrorist attacks of November 13th in Paris, which killed 130 people.
