The two-week tour that began in Virginia will end in Texas.

The "Dream Riders Across America Tour" is organized by the National Korean American Service and Education Consortium, or NAKASEC and comprises mainly of immigrants of Asian and Hispanic origin.

In a deliberate move, the group has chosen battleground states in the 2016 presidential elections to engage in a debate on immigration reform that seeks to legalize 11 million undocumented immigrants in the country.

The objective of the tour is to educate communities on the impact of the reform, especially for families who could benefit from DACA and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents, or DAPA.

The expansion of DACA, announced in November 2014, and DAPA, that extends benefits to parents of U.S. citizens, have remained stalled in the face of suspension of the above programs by a federal judge in Texas and are now awaiting decision on the appeal against the stay in the 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans.
