The announcement was made by the office of the High Commissioner for Peace, which said the rotation began in the last 48 hours.

The move does not affect any member of the secretariat, the highest body of Colombia's largest guerrilla group.

"As we return to Colombia, under conditions established by protocol, an equal number will depart to Havana as representative members," said an official statement.

The statement did not name the members of the FARC peace delegation returning to Colombia or those who will replace them in Havana.

"The number of delegates from the FARC in Havana is strictly agreed in the General Agreement of August 2012 and the subcommittee that deals with the subject of 'bilateral and definitive ceasefire, hostilities, and the surrender of weapons'," the statement added.

The agreement of Aug. 26, 2012, which governs the negotiation held since November of the same year in Havana, allows ten people per delegation on the session table and each party comprising up to 30 representatives.

The 38th round of dialogues between the government and FARC ended on July 12, with the next one set to kick off on July 23.

In the last round, the parties agreed on a series of measures to reduce the intensity of the armed conflict and speed up negotiations.

Honoring that and a request from Cuba and Norway - guarantor countries of the process - FARC began a new unilateral ceasefire on Monday.
