Cuba’s president, Raul Castro, described the terrorist attack against French newspaper Charlie Hebdo as abominable. Twelve people died in the attack.

“I send my sincere condolences, which I also extend to the victims’ families”, stated the Cuban president in a message sent to President Francois Hollande, reported today a diplomatic source.

The text reads: I have known about the terrorist attack against the headquarters of weekly Charlie Hebdo in Paris, which has resulted in deaths and people seriously injured. I want to express my sincere condolences to you and the victims’ families.

Likewise, Cuban ambassador in France, Hector Igarza, recalled that the Cuban nation, victim of terrorist attacks since the Triumph of the Revolution on January 1, 1959, has always condemned these kinds of attacks.
