Juan Formell Memorial House to Be Opened in Santiago de Cuba

Santiago de Cuba.-The Office of the Curator of the City (OCC) began recetly the renovation on a building in the historic center of Santiago de Cuba devoted to the late musician Juan Formell, who is linked to city by artistic and human ties.

The deputy director of OCC, Ramon Cobas, said that the old building used to house the Washington hotel and is located at the intersection of Aguilera and Gallo. It should be ready by 2017.

Cobas added that a hotel will be opened in front of the memorial house, which will be called Fantasy, referring to Formell's last album as leader of the band Los Van Van.
