Cuba, Hungary Sign Cultural Cooperation Agreement

The Ministry of Culture of Cuba and the Ministry of Human Capacities of Hungary have signed a cultural cooperation agreement today in this capital, with a view to expanding exchanges among their peoples.

Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Péter Szijjártó, signed the document on behalf of the Ministry of Human Capacities of his country, together with Cuban Culture Minister, Abel Prieto, at the Ministry's headquarters.

According to the agreement, the two sides will facilitate the direct collaboration of cultural and arts experts from relevant institutions in the fields of literature, book publishing, visual arts, museums and collections, photography, music, dance, theater and cinema.

The rest of the non-professional expressions and popular art are also included.

The Cuban side is willing to offer technical advice and compensated consultancy through ARTEX agency, in cultural administration and program performance, as well as classes in folklore, painting, sculpture, contemporary dance, classical ballet, classical and popular music, and heritage.

The agreement will remain in force for three years and will be renewable if there is no objection by the two parties.
