4th Festival of Latin American Music Patria Grande to be Held in Cuba

Groups from Mexico, Argentina, El Salvador and Colombia will perform from September 22nd to October 1st at plazas in Havana, as part of the Festival of Latin American Music Patria Grande, said today organizers.

During the 10-day event, the groups Nepentes, from Colombia, Salon Victoria, from Mexico, and Pashpak, from El Salvador, will perform in Havana, as well as Cuban groups Zeus, Jorgito Kamankola, Toques del Rio, La Cruzada and Athanai.

One of the most outstanding reggae figures in Latin America Fidel Nagal, singer of the Argentinian group Todos tus muertos, will present his work as solo singer during the event.

The festival will also be held by other provinces, as in previous years, this time by Pinar del Rio, Villa Clara and Sancti Spiritus.

The cultural centers Pabellon Cuba, La Madriguera and Salon Rosado de la Tropical will be hosting the event, organized by the Ministry of Culture, along with the Cuban Institute of Music, the Association Hermanos Saiz and other institutions.

Patria Grande will be dedicated to Ernesto 'Che' Guevara and the 10th anniversary of the Cuban Agency of Rock.
