Cuban Sandra Ramy Theater Group to Perform at Festival in Germany

Havana, Jan 12 (Prensa Latina) The Colectivo Persona, directed by Cuban choreographer Sandra Ramy, will perform next February in the Adelante! Ibero-American Theater Festival in Germany, according to a spokesperson for the organization, Mercedes Borges.

Artists from different disciplines such as dance, theater and music are part of the group founded in 2013 by Ramy, who is the author of the piece, Yilliam de Bala Coming Soon, which was selected by international experts to be presented at the event that will take place in the city of Heidelberg, from February 11th to 18th.

According to the curators of the festival, the work reflects our relationship with the body and consumption.

Prior to its release in Germany, Colectivo Persona will present the work on January 27th, 28th and 29th in the Tito Junco room of the Bertolt Brecht Cultural Complex in Havana.

Yilliam de Bala Coming Soon, won the Villanueva Critic Award 2015, an award granted to the best national and foreign shows seen in Cuba during the year.

According to Borges, The Festival Adelante! in Germany will also include Cuban group Osikán and the work BaqueStritBoys.
