Cuban Hospital in Qatar Received NDNQI Award for Quality Nursing

The Cuban Hospital in Dukhan, Qatar, received the Press Ganey National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) Award for Outstanding Nursing Quality reported today a diplomatic source. A note from the Cuban embassy in Doha said the award was given at a formal ceremony held today in the U.S. city of Orlando, Florida, and received by the Cuban Hector Roche, Chief of Nursing of the hospital belonging to the Medical Corporation Hamad.

The award, of international category, recognizes the excellence in nursing care and rewards the best hospitals in seven ways from an analysis that takes into account 17 indicators of quality, stated the information.

According to the source, through a comprehensive approach that evaluates both patient and medical staff satisfaction it is guaranteed a high quality care in order to reduce the suffering and improve the experience of patients.

The Press Ganey NDNQI Award is a deserved recognition to the dedication and commitment of the Cuban heath professionals in the State of Qatar, who are providing an excellent service to their patients, noted the statement by the delegation of the Caribbean island in the capital.
