After three working days in workshops and commissions, the Eighth International Conference on Renewable Energy, CIER 2015, closes its doors today at this capital''s Conference Center. Science as an essential component in the professional training process, and the activities the International Renewable Energy Agency is carrying out at a global level are issues that will focus debates today.

CIER 2015, which began in Havana on Tuesday, May 26, brought together about 300 delegates of 17 countries of Latin America, Europe and Middle East, to exchange on particular experiences in the use of renewable energy sources

Parallel to this main event is also the Fourth International Workshop on Wind Energy, the Second International Workshop on Hydrogen as an alternative fuel, and the First International Workshop on Photovoltaic Solar Energy.

About solar energy, the president of the organizing committee of CIER 2015, Tania Carbonell, said the photovoltaic panel built in Cuba is being highly competitive today.
