Symposium on Nuclear Physics in Cuba
A symposium to promote discussion, exchange and cooperation in various fields of nuclear physics will take place in Cuba from 9 to 13 February, and will be attended by experts from Latin America, Europe and Asia. The Cuban scientific meeting, called WONP-NURT, deals with the peaceful applications of nuclear techniques in various areas of society.
The event is organized by the Higher Institute of Applied Science and Technology (Instec) and the Center for Technological Applications and Nuclear Development (CEADEN), in coordination with the Agency for Nuclear Energy and Advanced Technologies (Aenta).
According to Ph.D. in Science Yamiel Abreu, member of the organizing committee, experts from Russia, Germany, Italy, Belgium, France, Spain, Austria, South Korea, Peru, Panama, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela and Canada, as well as 100 experts from Cuba, have confirmed their attendance.
WONP-NURT 2015 will be dedicated to the presentation of results in several workshops and the discussion of current problems in various fields of applied and fundamental research.
The program includes oral presentations and poster sessions. In addition, a series of conferences will take place on 8 and 9 February before the symposium.
