Stephan Gruber, president of the German cooperative Casa Alemania, which is represented in the 2017 International Agricultural and Livestock fair in Cuba (Fiagrob) by around 10 companies of consumables and equipment from that country, expressed its desire of extending its businesses here.

That country is participating in the 2017 Fiagrob in its 20th edition, officially opened today at the exhibition center Rancho Boyeros, with the opening of a marketing office.

In statements to the news agency Prensa Latina, Gruber said that most of the German companies that are participating this time in Fiagrob were suppliers of agricultural machinery, such as potato collectors, sickle-bush cutters and equipment for renewable energy.

Germany is a regular participant in this kind of fair, because not a few companies from that European nation provide the Cuban agriculture with products, including the Bayer, which has had representation in this country for decades.

In the event, 63 companies form France, the Czech Republic, Germany, Venezuela, Mexico, Panama, Holland, Cuba and other countries are presenting their offers, and around 170 exhibitors are taking part in the fair.

These figures, as well as the exhibition area, which is more than 8,000 square meters, have set records.
