Obama Seeks Followers on Health Reform
North American President Barack Obama began a tour along the country to seek followers on his initiative on Health Reform which is still in Congress due to differences between the parties.
US President accused insurance companies to place before their interests than peopleâ?Ös interests in a speech given at Arcadia University in Pennsylvania.
Obama also criticized the role played by the previous Republican administrations when according to him they did not do anything regarding health although they want now to raise medical attention.
Obama exhorted citizens and legislators to support his initiative at a moment in which democrat leaders work on an alternative plan to drive the bill which has been discussed for almost a year.
That strategy is the most ambitious and important policy presented by the current administration approved by both Chambers in different versions but lacks of an agreement to the final drive.
Republicans demanded days before to start negotiations over, but President Obama explained that everything was said.
A new draft amendment is about to be published and it is expected long debates in Senate.
Health Reform would provide medical coverage to more than thirty million North Americans and would impose conditions to the insurance companies to guarantee all those peopleâ?Ös access.
